Casa Magna Lancero Review
Casa Magna Lancero - 8.25 X 40. Wrapper - Nicaragua (Cuban Seed), Binder -Nicaragua (Cuban Seed), Filler - Nicaragua (Cuban Seed). Medium bodied.
Initial Taste - Earthy woodiness.
First third - Spice, earthy leather and sweet nougat.
Second third - Spiciness continues, earthy leather and the very enjoyable nougat sweetness. Very nicely balanced.
Last third - More of the same, spice, earthy leather and sweet nougat. Long finish of spice, earth and leather.
Construction was excellent - beautiful dark brown wrapper with a slight oily sheen. No major veins were visible. Burn was razor sharp producing a dark gray ash that held on. Draw was perfect.
A fantastic cigar with excellent balance and complexity. I really liked this flavor profile - smooth and tasty. The Lancero is available in boxes of 7 cigars. MSRP is $12.95 for this size. Easily a consideration for my Top 10 for 2011.
