Canimao Coloquiales Review

Canimao Coloquiales Review - 6 1/2 X 56. Wrapper - Ecuadorian Habano, Binder - Ecuadorian Habano, Filler - Nicaragua. Medium - full bodied.

Initial taste - Spice, cedar and some earthiness.

First third - Increasing spice, fruitiness, earth and cedar.

Second third - Strong spice, fruitiness, a citrus flavor emerges, earthiness and mineral notes. Cedar wood flavor fades out in this third.

Last third - Spice continues along with the fruity citrus, earthiness and mineral notes. Long finish of spice and earth.

Construction - Attractive brown wrapper with a nice oily texture and a couple of veins visible. Beautifully constructed cap.

Burn - Slightly uneven burn but a solid dark gray colored ash that holds on until tapped off.

Draw - Perfect draw with plenty of smoke produced.

An excellent cigar with wonderful complexity and superb balance - I typically do not enjoy a mineral taste but in this cigar, it actually enhances the flavor profile. Construction is very good as well as I have come to expect with Canimao cigars. MSRP is $12.00. I think I found my new favorite Canimao cigar.
